The early 400's and the late Super M's were same but later 400's used dipsticks and had a smaller 1 inch diamiter wist pin just like the 450's, and the H and early (I'm thinking) Super H are similar but later Super H's and 300's, and 350's are different. The M's engine unlike the H can be made into a 450.

Lots faster and more powerful than the '39 H it replaced. SH was a lot simpler to service, but a 300/350 with TA, LPTO, maybe even factory PS lot easier to use on lots of jobs.I don't know anyone that has put in much "seat time" on a C or Super C that didn't fall in love with them!
